About This Dog

Rory's ideal home

Rory is a 3-year-old Cavapoo with a big heart and lots of energy, looking for patient and understanding adopters who can help him feel safe and secure. He can be shy when meeting new people but quickly warms up—especially if treats are involved! Rory thrives on human companionship and would love a calm, adult-only home where his needs are understood and respected. He has some guarding behaviours and cannot live with other pets, so he’ll need a home committed to managing this appropriately. Rory also struggles when seeing other dogs out on walks and can be reactive, so ongoing training will be important. Our training and behaviour team will be there to support you with this. He cannot be left alone initially, so any time apart will need to be built up gradually.

Could you be Rory's perfect match?

If you’re looking for a lively, affectionate companion and are happy to invest time in training, Rory could be the perfect match. He has a high energy level and absolutely loves tennis balls—he could play fetch all day! A secure garden is essential so he can burn off energy safely, as he’ll need to remain on-lead in public due to his dog reactivity. Rory would benefit from quiet walking routes with minimal dog encounters and a peaceful home environment where he can truly relax. Once he trusts you, Rory is a sweet and loving boy who enjoys being around people and will make a wonderful companion for the right adopter willing to go at his pace.
