Ethel

Ethel's ideal home

Ethel is a very timid 1yr old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who is looking for a VERY special home. She has been through a very traumatic time recently and this has left her very worried and nervous around people, dogs and even the general environment. She is very slowly coming out of her shell but will need time, space and patience to help her continue to grow in confidence. Her home must be calm and peaceful where she can build a predictable routine. Children and other pets will be far too much for her to cope with initially so her home must be adult only with no other pets. A secure garden is vital so she has somewhere peaceful to get used to the outside world as it will take some time before she's ready to go out for walks on lead. The garden will also help with her housetraining.

Could you be Ethel's perfect match?

Ethel is clearly a very sweet girl underneath her anxieties and she has started to make progress, venturing outside her kennel and interacting a little more with her most trusted friends, but she will need her new family to take things very slowly and, with our guidance, gradually build her confidence through positive experiences and training. If you live a peaceful life and have the time to work with us to slowly transition this sweet girl into the loving home life she deserves then add her to you favourites now.

King Charles Spaniel Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 8 weeks, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped
  • Review and verify any documents, such as KC registration paperwork where applicable

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
